The grid provided as the centre piece of the screen provides a run down of the glass products available in this glass catalog as well as the prices related to each of these products. You can customize the view of this screen by changing the radio buttons or check boxes in the options panels at the top of the grid.

Glass Types form the basis of a glass product. A glass type is essentially, what you would assume it to be, a type of glass. This might be something like Clear or perhaps Blue or patterned glass.
To add a glass type select the glass types tab in the Glass Maintenance dialogue and click the new button then add the required information in to the fields as shown.
To create a new category, simply type the name of the category you wish to create. When you click the ok button, the glass type will be saved to this category and the category will then be available for selection the next time you add a Glass Type.
A Glass Product is defined by it's thickness and type. You cannot have two glass products that share the same thickness and type.
To create a new glass product, simply click on the new button under the Glass Products tab in the Glass Maintenance dialogue. Select the thickness and glass type for the product and add your desired item code and the weight in pounds per square foot. Now click the OK button to add the glass product. Glass products are able to be selected in the shower builder screen when configuring a shower. You can select a glass product for use on an entire shower or on an individual panel
Pricing for this product is also set up separately, see the information contained in the pricing section below.
Glass Edge Finish Types
To add a glass edge finish type, click on the appropriate tab in the Glass Maintenance Dialogue. Add in the description of the finish type and the print label. The print label is the code which is displayed on the fabrication drawings and reports. This should be a small abbreviated code to identify the type of finish.
Editing the pricing
The pricing for items in a Hardware catalog can be edited by clicking on the edit pricing button. Cost pricing comes directly from your supplier in which case you will not be able to edit the cost or will need to manually enter. A message will display indicating if the supplier is supplying the cost pricing. The retail prices are always entered. You can choose to apply a global markup or margin percentage which will apply the given value to all cost prices and save the result to the corresponding retail field.
For more information see the Pricing section.
